The first thing we do is find out where our students are gifted and what they are passionate about. We encourage students to see themselves at the height of their potential in a career that brings them, not only sustainable income, but fulfillment! They’re challenged to write a list of 5 things they love to do, and would love to get paid doing if it were possible. Once we comb through the answers they think we want to hear, we shift their perspective to embracing the things  they consider just a “hobby” into an area of focus for an actual career.

Our arts classes are set up to support our students' journey towards self-discovery and purpose. Through these classes, they are able to develop the tools necessary to make their pipe dreams a reality. If they are iterated in a career in any of our arts classes, our teaching artists offer guidance to help get their foot in the door of that industry. If not, they still obtain valuable principles that create a pipeline towards any career of their choice.

We culminate our program with a fashion/talent show! This production allows our students to see themselves in a different light. Once they’ve performed on the school’s stage in front of their student body, administration, family, and friends, they’ll have the confidence to perform on the stage of life in any career they choose to pursue.

Once students have completed our program, they, along with their parents/guardians, become lifelong partners of GPA. We will continue to share resources for scholarships and internships that align with their career choice. Our goal is for scholars to be in position to pay little to nothing for their higher education experience!
