Our Values

based on p.i.p.e. Dreams: principles to Live What You Love! written by Dayo Olatokun

We honor and value time, recognizing that being prompt and reliable is essential for success. We strive to be punctual in all our endeavors, respecting the commitments we make to ourselves and others.

We believe in the power of purpose, encouraging individuals to discover and pursue their unique calling. We provide the guidance and support necessary for participants to uncover their passions, embrace their purpose, and make a positive impact in the world.

We uphold unwavering ethical standards and honesty in all our actions. We value transparency, trustworthiness, and accountability, fostering an environment where integrity thrives.

We are dedicated to excellence in everything we do. We set high standards for ourselves and inspire others to do the same. Through continuous improvement, innovation, and a commitment to quality, we strive for excellence in every aspect of our programs and services.

Our motto:

GPA seeks to give all youth an arts educational experience to develop conscious, creative, and conscientious citizens who will contribute to a better world.

Our Workshops

Through Improv, Scene Study, Monologues, and various acting classes, our students get to explore the freedom of expression on stage while learning how to apply these techniques to their personal lives.

We teach Step, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, and many forms of choreographed movement for the purposes of performing and creating their own content.

Lead by our team of vocal coaches, participants learn to discover their voice through singing, songwriting, and producing. They're also introduced to the business side of music in order to take control of their own careers.

We also offer workshops in cosmetology, social media, design, public relations, and other art forms to expose students to a variety of career options.

A Letter from Our Founder

Dear Community Partners and Friends,

Live What You Love! That's our motto; that's our message. At the Gifted and Purposed Alliance (GPA), we show youth how to tap into their purpose, explore their identity, and actively learn through the arts. GPA aims to provide participants with an early opportunity to identify and sharpen their gifts and talents, as well as an atmosphere to build a firm foundation for their craft and career choice.

Our goal is to ignite the Rockaway community schools (NYC schools and organizations at large) with an arts education program that will benefit students by providing clarity in their purpose while creating a pipeline towards higher education institutions.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Connect with us! Let's bring our energy and resources together to help change our schools and community. Our team eagerly looks forward to speaking with you soon. In the meantime, don't forget to "Live What You Love!"

Mr. Dayo is amazing! Mrs.Daley first brought in and I was like okay! I'm ready, I'm, ready, but the way that he has transformed these students and these children’s lives is amazing!

I had a lot of fun doing it! Sometimes we would talk about our feelings, and our problems and that helped me a lot to be more open to adults.

Mr. Dayo taught us something about ourselves that not all of us may have realized but we realized it yesterday when we did the thinking about our future…
